It’s like they try to come off as educated or something, but in reality they have 5 lines memorised that they repeat on every subject and that’s it. It genuinely feels like you’re talking to bots sometimes.

thats exactly what i said yo

and its funny because i was told that i was just extending a handful of interactions to all of these niggas, glad you are corroborating something ive went through

I absolutely don’t think we should be thankful that our comforts come from a system of murder, rape, and exploitation

If your father handed you a toy knowing he got it by killing a kid and his family for it, would you not be thankful for it because of what it came from ? No, so why start with something with a few more degrees of separation?

    Oh brother lmao

I’ve seen liberals talk about the history of the US for the last 25 years of my life. Where has that gotten us? The most stringent anti abortion laws since roe v Wade, an increase in violence and police brutality in black communities, the most politically unstable regime in US history, a literal cuckoo celebrity elected as President, and the worst wealth gap ever seen in this country.

How does talking about the history not make us go backwards again?

This gotta be one of the most ed posts I’ve ever seen on this site god damn lol

There’s like five unique layers of stupid going on here

Because you people keep spouting the exact same points despite being confronted with the very reality in front of you that spits in the face of your stupid takes if we were to call you the idiots that you were and left it there than you would all whine about “civility and polity” yet none of you will take the concrete facts that we present and critically think about it

    You are all the same

Yes, American and British forces overthrew the government 40 years ago, but the Iranian people did not choose these Mullahs to take over either. They are not asking for your interference again, but to be aware of what is going on and not use constant whataboutisms.

If you have no problem being an apologist for violence, where will it end? how can I not assume you will kill a neighbor for your own gain if you’ll allow someone to kill a foreign child for it?

Who is apologizing for violence? Its possible to acknowledge the horrible origins and still use and be happy for the safety you enjoy

Talking about killing my neighbor is crazy lmfao I was just born here bro

Those atrocities have all been present since the dawn of humanity, in every single civilization that has ever existed. They are a fact of life. You’d be hard pressed to find anything that couldn’t be connected to some atrocity through X degrees of separation.

Unless you are living off the grid, surviving off your own effort and making conscious choices to specifically not use items that came about from unethical origins, you are doing no different than the child taking the toy in your anecdote.

There’s a decent chance that somebody peripherally died or at least suffered for your iPhone to be produced, why are you still using one?

    I don't understand what you're asking

This is like being newly appointed CEO of a company and asking why they keep comprehensive reporting and documentation of their past failures

    "To learn from? Nonsense"

It is, and being thankful for what we have is different from trying to live using what we have

I am doing my part in changing the way the world works, and if you aren’t then you can’t go about preaching about how we have to be thankful for the violent systems we don’t need

ya well that's do to FIFA corruption, the players and fans wait 4 years to be able to enjoy the tournament and they shouldn't be blamed
