hot pancakesso i usually have to build a lot of reports in our business system, normally the reports are all the same filters except one field that i have to change to match each department.
i used power automate to automate that report building process so i don’t have to rebuild/re-save like 50 reports each time we do an update on the filters
it’s running right now as i type this lol
Hmm interesting. I had to use python to create a report building thingy from a microsoft word template. Boss wanted me to automate the files to upload to sharepoint but I can't bc I don't have admin access. Worked in my favour though bc I cba for that part

lolol yeah powerautomate gives you similar functionality to python, except you don’t need to write code you just literally drag and drop blocks for what you want to do (“for loops”, building lists, ifs, etc)
using python is technically better for more complex things because there’s more flexibility but for quick automation tasks Power Automate is proving really useful lol
