my job revolves around calling 10-12 people a day for specific information, it's not as bad as sales pitch to randoms, but any job that you have to call random people for sucks

Insurance company. When there's a s***ty client they need to get insured or they need a discount, the brokers call us. When the brokers yet again fail to simply enter the correct information for the price quote, we call the brokers.

Yeah I started as an insurance agent like 5 months ago. Cold calling for that type of s*** is wack as hell, you're better off doing paid inbound leads from vendors

Yeah, for sure. A lot of vendors can get you better leads. Better usage of time and money & your employee isn't gonna feel like garbage.

I mean they're better than cold calls. But they still kinda suck. The systems are designed poorly so they'll try to push all kinds of s*** they can through the system. Company hasn't really developed a proper framework so you're usually working in grey areas which they'll use to throw back at you at a later time. They always want their quote very quickly while a lot of times the software is broken (just not functioning) or you need to contact your manager because it's out of your decision capabilities. You save a quote and suddenly there's another premium than the one you communicated. You log a ticket but because it's some outsourced company, they put in zero effort and don't solve s***. Meanwhile they're waiting for a correct quote.
In a better company, I'm sure these calls could be chill. But after this experience, I'm not interested in finding out. I'm not interested in working in another call center after this.
I think they’re gonna fire me cause of a failed d*** test for weed but it’s whatever cause their company policy just made them lose a prodigy so 🤷♂️

Oh man, in that case you need to find a similar job or the same on just in a better company, im sure you can do it if you got experience now

Yeah, but I'd just really prefer no calls & I don't like the power dynamic between broker & company just because they do a lot of business with you. I don't like the constant bending over I have to do because of that. So for my next job, those are two factors that will influence my search.

You work provision based or just a regular salary that is the same every month?

I can’t believe d*** testing is a thing at company’s.
I’ve never heard of it here.
It’s none of their business what you do in your free time
