hmm, well I didn’t really like this. being drunk and lookin at Gal Gadot for two hours made it better tho
Pedro Pascal is killing his role, Chris Pine is always good. Gal Gadot saving Muslims made me laugh. This movie is hot garbage with an 80s filter on it...
The DCEU just keeps taking steps backwards
im dead at Pine in a white tee on top of the tank kicking it
WW lassoing on to a missile :dw:
Wish Gal would lasso my d***
Pedro was the only redeeming thing about this movie IMO
He was great
Chris Pine kicking the tank saved the movie
this is just so generic and bland, boring and at times too goofy, not in the good way
its the type of movie MCU wouldve made 8 years ago
feel like DCEU will switch it up in the future with the upcoming projects, this wasnt fun at all imo
bad cgi, s*** youve already seen dozens of time
i really liked the first one (besides the last fight of that one)
DCEU is trying to copy the same formula of MCU its so sad. They should go their own way. MCU is more funny and DCEU is more serious in terms of superheroes. That's not how they are making their movies and its getting so ridiculous
For example, they tried giving Batman f***en comedic relief in B v S and Justice League

They were massively s*** on for taking themselves too seriously. Now they’re trying to correct course by not taking themselves so seriously.
Ultimately the tone they choose to take won’t matter as much as how good the actual product is. Haven’t seen this but reactions seem mixed lol

I still think going serious is the way they should go with better directing, acting and quality story telling. Turning these into MCU style movies is just going to get mixed reviews
Plus, I think if Superhero movies keep using this same formula, then they will start to die out. In fact, I think it's already started. I also think that's why more new MCU projects are turning into shows to stream

I think DC is planning on going darker, but maybe not for their Cinematic Universe. Joker and the new Batman point to this direction.
I saw this last weekend in brazil...when I came back to America I was surprised it wasn’t out yet
I thought it was good tbh. Wasn’t expecting anything to impressive

i agree, shazam was ‘fun’ and it worked really well imo, they tried to do that same thing here and it just didnt work
