During like the first half hour I thought the film was really leaning into the 80s schtick and trying to feel like a movie from the 80s. Reminded me a lot of Big and other family flicks from around that time. I thought it was doing a pretty good job of it too.

China numbers don’t look great tho. I knew it was going against The Rescue which is a big domestic film from the creator of one of the biggest Chinese Box Office hits ever and even that did lower than expected but still feels like WW shoulda been a lil higher

I enjoyed Aquaman, Shazam and Birds Of Prey, so I expect to enjoy this.

Unless its main Avengers or like Aquaman seems like they don't care at all. And Aquaman only cus James Wan does very well there. And slowly starting to care less about U,S films in general outside of key series like Fast and Furious

They might bait their audience with the Eternals cus Chloe Zhao is directing it. Wonder how Shang Chi will do tho
