The bigger issue is that when you have these universes with set scripts, set stories, etc.. you limit the directors you can even bring in. The experienced ones want to produce, write and direct their ideas and this doesn't allow that. Not even Gunn himself would sign up for this type of work for hire gig. He was trusted well at Marvel

No one is lining up for this seemingly. Where are the young directors, or unique pitches, people seeking out writing jobs? They gave Nogueiria 3 films without ever having a credit. Then they gave The Flash writer a (alleged) Batman film. Where is everyone?!?

One thing that I hope changes with time, post credit scenes. Tease the future and give the audience a reason to stay a little longer, especially since everything is leading towards something.
