Supes is very private about his Kryptonian side in the movie it basically tells you no one on Earth even knows about Kara or Krypto

Just got out of Batman ‘89 in Dolby and it hit me.

IF Pattinson is not the DCU Batman, the tone of this movie is what they should strive for with their Batman. Still darker and serious, but with mad comic booky elements.

Or if the Reeves trilogy is type First Avenger/First Steps in being ‘in the past’ (which it has felt like to me since March 2022) and they just have present day Batman be Pattinson’s actual age

I don't think Reeves would accept this. That's too much continuity to coordinate which he could alter at any time in his films. For all we know Reeves could age Battinson up for a future film like he did the 2nd and 3rd Apes films (or like even Nolan did at that stage). Or maybe one day he wants to just make a veteran Batman film with an older Rob.

He seems extremely hesitant to allow creators touching things that aren't approved by him and all of the cast and crew are tied far closer to him than DC. I remember it was similarly suggested Pattinson could be a prequel to Batfleck and Reeves maneuvered to completely ensure that that would not be the case

Think this is the only way the merge works for me. Only thing is that Reeves has to hurry and finish his saga before the DCU batman can show up

Keep DCU Batman in team-up movies and other's movies until the Reeves trilogy is over then give him a solo movie.

I think we're jumping the gun(n) a bit here assuming Battinson gets pushed out the door automatically at 3 films. If their sequel is successful WB likely will try to re-up contracts and keep the series for as long as they can.

Playing Batman hasn't been time consuming for Rob, and Reeves seems indefinitely committed to Batman projects and could simply decide that there's more story to tell with a veteran Batman/Bruce after the initial Crime Saga films. If Reeves and Gunn don't merge and DC Studios feels (for some odd reason imo) they must have a universe Batman now, then they're gonna just proceed.

Rob both says here he'd love the idea of a trilogy but would also be interested in playing "as many times as people want to see." Who knows what the future holds. There's not gonna be a rush to end. This is very different attitude than the last franchise he did (5 times)

S1’s was a mandatory no skip. I nearly wanted to skip this one mid sequence before I remembered it was my first watch

I adored it when it was coming on weekly in 2022. If I binged maybe it’d be different story.

It came out same span of weeks as stuff like Severence S1 and Slow Horses S1. I wasn’t skipping any intros during this time weekly
