Who do you guys want to play Batman?

The two most popular fancasts right now are funny enough two Smallville alums, Jensen Ackles & Alan Ritchson.

Personally, i don't wanna sound pretentious but if any of them are cast I think that will be a big step down from actors that have played the character in the past.

Look at the list: Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney, Bale, Affleck, Pattinson

These are actors who have all been movie stars not TV stars and bring gravitas to the role. They are also actors that are renowned for their craft in spaces other than nerd fandoms. (Yes, even two-time Oscar Winner Ben Affleck)

In a perfect world Pattinson would just cross over but since that's definitely not happen I have a hard time wondering who'd get cast.

Actors like Harris D***inson or Paul Mescal would be perfect but way too young, also need someone to contrast the Pattinson vibe so its not too same-y.

Have a huge feeling it'll just be Aaron Taylor Johnson, he seems like a safe bet

This Batman is going to have Damian as his Robin and Damian at most is going to be like 14-15. So Batman at least in universe has to be 35 but that would imply that Bruce was Batman since he was at least 20 which I don’t think will be the case.

Rob’s is 30 in the first film and that’s year 2.

i feel like they could still pull off an actor in their mid to late 30s, but that's cuz I think they might go even younger for Damian (10-11)

But this is especially because I still want Clark and Bruce to be somewhat contemporaries. Affleck and Cavill 2.0 would piss me off. I think it'd be a big mistake.

I get what you're saying though a 1000% and an actor in their 40s is a realistic choice.

Have a huge feeling that this version of Batman will be the most comic accurate we see so far, I wouldn't say that means he's cracking jokes but he'd be more fantastical. It would make sense if he consummated with Talia at 25. then 10-11 years later a son came back into his life.

Also for reference, Rebecca Ferguson plays Timothee Chalamet's mom in Dune and that's not distracting at all.

Aaron is a solid pick. I was also thinking of Bill too for DCU Batman.

Lot of people fancast him as Joker for obvious reasons but i think he could really surprise people if he were picked as Batman.

But I was thinking would he be too similar to Pattinson?

What’s your beef with Muschietti? I thought he did a great job on flash considering the hurdles he went through with production

There are a few very annoying people on batmantwt pushing this agenda but I can see the vision for Lee Pace

I just really dislike the flash movie. And even the Batman scenes in it didn’t warrant enough excitement to see his take on Gotham.

Yea that’s the thing Pattinson, Bale, Kilmer and even Keaton. All actors with an energy of being able to play the joker as well. You could imagine them easily. Clooney & Affleck are huge exceptions

Fair enough. I still need to see a film from him without studio meddling and controversy to make up my mind on him.

The first IT movie is good, shows he can direct kids so that’ll be great for Damian I suppose
