Gunn could corner an AMAZING counter to the MCU if he manages to get super talented, established directors to want to play DC with him

Feige has employed this visual aesthetic for the MCU where they all look similar for cohesion. You couldn’t shoot one that looks like The Batman, The Last Jedi or Logan etc. Even when they get really exciting directors or DOPs, they slot within the MCU world. You could edit scenes from each film into each other and it would fit together without much visual whiplash (which is kinda cool, for what it is)

This + the super interconnectedness could be stripped in favour of movies that attempt to stand alone more, enticing actual directors to wanna make genre, comic book movies

Imagine if the Superman movie could look like a Spielberg movie with huge sets, americana outdoor locations, shot on film (or a filmic overlay process onto digital like The Batman or Knives Out) but then other films could look how they want

WW3 is cancelled in its current iteration. don’t think a recast is coming, just that they didn’t like the treatment that was presented by Patty Jenkins & crew

They should've stuck to the original plans

By the time we get a new DCU, I don't think audiences will care as superhero fatigue is starting to seep in.

And if not that, then the global economic hardship that will take place in the near future.
