Chris feet was planted in place and Will reached back. It wasn't a 'light' slap, but that was the definition of eating that s***.

You’re not exactly wrong, he ate it, but Will still smacked the s*** out of him and absolutely nothing was done about it

I don't think Will was right but Chris told a mean joke and Will snapped

At the end of the day Will did more damage to himself and his rep than anything. We don't need the think pieces on social media or KTT. Just a person lost their temper on public stage

Real s*** though I commend Will and Chris. Will was in every right to run up on Chris f*** that, enough is enough at some point because Chris been making fun of them for years. Celebrities are human too. I also respect how Chris handled it, that’s a tough spot to be in. Sure he could’ve retaliated but Chris made a quick decision, it would’ve looked like “two niggas fighting on stage” if he did throw a punch. The night would’ve been a total disaster if there was a brawl. Chris showed an amazing amount of strength tbf, he’s not weak by any means. He looked at the entire moment as being bigger than his ego.

In a time every white person jumping up and down about black on black violence and BLM don't matter to black people, you can at least handle this in privacy not be entertainment for all white people in attendance to gawk at.

    This though

They shoulda fought back stage and filmed it

No one is above the consequences of their actions. You think otherwise?

I don’t think the consequences are always fair

And a better solution would be wishing for the consequences to be less harsh on us, not harsher on Will

I don’t blame Will Smith for doing what he did after all he been through but I don’t see this as an L for Chris Rock

He’s a comedian he told a joke, someone got mad and hit him, then he kept going with the jokes without missing a stride. As a comedian it’s always a possibility you might piss someone off

He took the professional route. He could have easily roasted them even more after that and I wouldn't blame him

My point is if the joke had been something that he knows deeply affected her, he wouldn't have tried to play it off. Or if the joke had been meanspirited.

He's first reaction shows how he felt about the joke. What happened next was just posturing.

If someone says something about my wife that I don’t find disrespectful, but she does, I’m absolutely sticking up for her

That’s not “posturing” it’s called being a man
