For real there’s threads like that everyday, s*** is annoying
If you don’t like the mainstream then find new artists
I dont want to have to search in the closet for good s***. It should already be in the forefront promoted and celebrated.
Why can’t we all jus admit the mid 2010s were a rare peak for music and that hip hop is objectively in a bad place rn
I think some of you guys were a few years late to the party and are trying to cope about the fact that you missed out on the glory days by telling yourself we’re just being nostalgic
early to mid 2010s*
When trap production was evolving but lyricism still mattered
Lot of people on this forum don’t really listen to rap like that and just check for the same 10 big names and listen to like indie rock and other hipster bullshit most of the time
You never said a lie
ok?
he acting like they wouldnt be great additions to mainstream music lol.
Nothing interesting about him
Who cares about interesting if he is musically nice?
Niggas is weird. They need a TMZ column or IG drama or else they not worth a listen?
Sometimes that dust be hitting, no angel.

He trippin I'd much rather have them than whatever garbage is currently popping

I think they want someone exciting so they can live through their artist instead of their own lives lmao
I’m on my second year of my 20s and it’s already killing my teen years.
No money
Having to sneak b****es in the crib
Sitting in school 8 hours a day

Just enjoy the music and respect your elders
You don’t have to agree with they dusty asses but at least show respect and Y’all dusty niggas need to respect the future too

I don't even disagree that hip-hop was in a better place then, most of my personal favorite albums are from that era.
But the constant b****ing about what music is now is obnoxious. There are so many great hip-hop albums that aren't trap or street rap; it comes off as bitter and ignorant to persistently attack the artists and the people that enjoy it.

facts, i was mad late to trap cause im a dusthead nerd by nature so im not tired of the trap sound like yall, but denzel and saba would add some spark in the charts fasure.
