because all 3 acts haven't dropped solo music to promote or be nominated for...they'll all be back once their next eras start...its the same routine
Jay and Bey were both nominated in 2019 AND WON... didn’t show
Kendrick was as well for Black Panther showed up for the award and left.

They were still nominated. And won wtf.
Are you saying they would’ve for some reason shown if they were nominated separately?

The Weeknd won the same category for starboy and he didn't show up lmao
They show up when their solo work gets recognized for the main televised categories
hell, they even showed up to the Golden Globes this year and bey got clowned by losing
Where is that Peter Griffin meme someone posted in the other thread that had the Pop and R&B sign on it?
Blinding Lights is a fantastic song but it’s not R&B lol. Doesn’t even fit the theme at all. It’s a straight up dance pop song. Black people can make pop music too.
Had to edit my post cause my iPhone somehow corrected black to Blake?
I honestly think we should just get rid of the term Pop music anyways. I mean really it's kind of confusing and misleading. Pop stands for Popular. So it's just popular music. Any genre can and has been popular. Even an indie or metal song can be a popular song. Hip Hop has been the most popular genre for years now. The term Pop is outdated now.
It's just so f***ed up that an artist like Ariana Grande or Adele can take from R&B/Hip Hop and it be called pop and it will be marketed to every store, radio station, tv channel, movie, event, etc in every city but artists like Kehlani or Jazmine Sullivan can make the same exact type of song as them and it be marketed to only black people and "urban places".

Lol, you’re moving the goal posts and changing what you said now.
First it was they showed up, which you were wrong about. Then it was they didn’t show because they were nominated, you were wrong about that too. Now it’s they only show when it’s one of the big categories...
There’s no point to this conversation if you’re going to keep changing every time you’re proven wrong.

they showed up after bey lost for self titled, they showed up after bey lost for lemonade, guaranteed they show up for their next solo releases...lets not forget they still showed up to them Grammys events during grammy week
you act like major black artists don't care about these awards when you were proven wrong...they do
S*** is pop af, They just trynna manipulate people to think that pop has morphed into R&B when it ain’t happened yet
Pop is just white r&b and basically all American music is just different forms of r&b

Except for Here and Now
The VMAs also let known racist Doja Cat perform tonight. Don't see a thread about that yet

Major black artists def care, they're always at the events.
But Bey and Jay may not be the best example since Bey's dad is on the Grammy panel (or at least was a couple years ago)
