Don't think I'm s***ting on you OP but stuff like this has been going on in america for a long time. I'm haitian and when the first waves of migrants started coming here to the U.S in the 70-90s they faced next level hate. Whites, Black Americans, Hispanics and Caribbeans formed like voltron and made us the scapegoat for alot of negative s***. I remember my dad telling me stories of radio stations talking s*** about haitian people openly and conservative media blaming haitians for the aids scare. Accusations of cat eating, voodoo and dustiness plagued our people for years and Haitian kids used to get jumped ALL the time. It wasn't until Haitians became a violent force on the street and had been nested in the U.S for a while before this stopped. America is just really f***ing weird like that, people got extremely hostile at whatever group is "new" and s*** on them for a while. Same thing kinda happened to mexicans from what I've heard too. Not trying to downplay what's happening to you OP but just an explanation.
