everyone I named had their debut albums come out in 2017/2018 and experienced their peak fames 2020-2023 these niggas we’re literally on XXL 2016, how tf they debut at the same time. what are you on right now man

Lil Durk did not debut in 2017

And peak fame does not mean the artist belongs to said decade.

Tyler the Creator is currently peaking in fame as we speak but you would sound crazy calling him an up-and-coming artist

21 and Yachty were both in the 2016 XXL Freshman list

He’s the ONE exception, and I already explained it’s because he didn’t release his debut solo album in 2013. You would still sound crazy calling Pusha T an up-and-coming artist in 2025 because he’s peaking in fame right now

Keep up with the conversation bruh, Push was already noted as the one exception in that verse

You named 5 artists who have been making music for a decade

so you get an exception for a nigga who debuted a whole decade before the song you referenced…but I can’t mention Lil durk? Yea we’re done bro, I gotta go lift. this was pointless. how you get to name Pusha T in your list hyping up Control but I can’t name Durk in mine, I’m dead

Imagine asking someone to recommend you some up-and-coming rappers in 2026 and they respond with Lil Durk, Gunna, Lil Yachty, and 21 Savage

    Dog be serious

I didn’t name Pusha T in MY list, I named the rappers Kendrick name-dropped and I specifically said BESIDES Pusha. I said that clear as day.

That was during the time when the line between albums and mixtapes were becoming blurred

By your logic Young Thug was a new artist in 2019

so you get to establish criterias that defend your arguments, but when I use the same criteria’s, it doesn’t count Dot was dropping mixtapes since before 2008, so was everyone he named lmfaooo

You’re not using the same criteria, you’re purposefully being obtuse. You know damn well 21 and Yachty were already on the map before they dropped their debut studio albums in 2017, same way Thug was for YEARS before he dropped So Much Fun
