See? This is why you don’t f*** with Drake. You thought he was some weak pretty boy? You thought you could diss him in a song, post cryptic messages on Twitter or roll your eyes at him at courtside? Nah, my guy. Drake isn’t just some rapper, he’s an emotional tactician. This man doesn’t take L’s; he remixes them into chart topping hits.

He’ll rent out the restaurant you took your girl out for your first date and write down the lyrics to “Marvins Room” at the exact table you guys sat at. He’ll DM your mom like, “Hope you’re doing okay queen 💖.” He’ll hire a choir to sing “Hotline Bling” outside of your house at 3 a.m. every night for a month straight. This man doesn’t just fight; he’ll sabotage your whole spirit.

Drake is a Scorpio with too much time, too much money and a Kendrick Lamar and Pusha T shaped chip on each of his shoulders. This is the same guy who bought his enemy’s house just to renovate it out of pure spite. You think you’re beefing with him, but he’s buying ad space on your dreams. Your aspirations. By the time you realize you’ve lost, he’s already writing your eulogy 6/8 of the time.

So the next time you think about dissing The Boy? Don’t. Just don’t. Because he’ll make it personal. Put some respect on the 6 God’s name.

    Who's house did he buy

    Where’s the Drake heroin guy

  • Literally wrote on the album and took records that were intended for his mixtapes

If this was any other artist y’all would have a field day

  • Gave him 5 records that were supposed to be on his debut

  • cus its funny

Not just the fact that he gave him 5 records. It was also the influence of sound. TML does not sound like TC. TC was inspired in large part by Weeknds rise and dreary dark R&B sound.

Whether it’s correct or not—Marvin’s Room, Real Her etc… were attributed to Weeknd influence. You just had to be there tbh

And then years later we have foreigners like that flizzy moron on the front page saying that it's "Drake influence"

  • People in the YouTube comments said he Wrote the ride

That’s when I knew the discourse was cooked

  • Oct 12, 2025

because goat artists who contribute to classic music get the credit

Bria’s interlude could be put on take care and not sound out of place

    Lupe wrote The Black Album
    The Weeknd wrote Take Care
Baby Keem wrote To Pimp A Butterfly

You forgot Practice. 20% of an album is a lot

having writing credit on 20% of a 20 track album is not that much. having a credit also doesnt mean the guy was only writing it and just giving it to said artist to perform (like yall make it out to be)

you cant attribute something to one person in a collaborative effort lol

People hate to admit Drake has a classic album and a signature sound that influenced a generation of artists

And then years later we have foreigners like that flizzy moron on the front page saying that it's "Drake influence"

I Get Lonely Too, Stunt on You, Paris Morton Music, Brand New, Something all came out before the Weeknd’s run btw

    all considered dark R&B/hip hop

it's just a way to discredit DRAKE!

    It doesn't exist without Abel

    Abel made that album

  • Oct 12, 2025

the things yall give the weeknd credit for should absolutely go to kanye if we bein honest. not taking away from what the weeknd contributed but acting like he invented the ‘dark aesthetic’ sound is just revisionist history lol

lol I was there. That’s why I’m asking.

I mean I get that some songs are clearly influenced by him but people act like Weeknd basically gave Drake Take Care lol

    He did.

The Ride would have been all time classic Abel if Drake didn't steal it

as do i lol so you should know its collaborative

he did production & vocals on the ride
he wrote the hook for practice (40 produced)
he wrote on shot for me (40 produced)
he wrote and did vocals on good ones go (40 produced)

where is the heavy lifting for those other songs? the one song we can say he completely carried is crew love lol

because people have been trying to knock drake off his spot for 14 years lol
