It's because theyre treated more special as they're not on streaming platforms - 'want what you can't have' psychology - so many Carti songs were treated like grails just because of a 15 sec snippet compared to if they dropped officially they don't have that hype built around them - now you have people begging for these songs to drop on Spotify. Also he can control the narrative as no one can say anything about his streaming numbers being low and everyone has to go to one place to listen - helps boost his Opium IG and is a rollout no one has done before also and Carti always wants to be a pioneer.
