I really second this, in fact I’m one of the guys who’s in this situation and it’s a s***ty habit to have. It feels nice to have some interaction with women (even receive compliments and such) but I can’t help the feeling of sudden romance to kick in, when in reality she’s just acting nice. Of course this only applies to people who don’t interact with women on a regular basis like you said
