LandoTHELOSTBecause “female” doesn’t even specifically reference a human. It’s degrading a woman to her most biological s***organ. Female basically means “has vagina” whereas “woman” is nuanced and encompasses what it means to be a woman.

this. it’s always offensive when using it as a noun @op bc in modern usage, it’s contextually just been used as a less-obvious way to call a woman a b****. but with that in mind, it’s still the proper word to use as an adjective in many cases

Oblivion XA lot of men use it as substitute for b****. And you can tell they are because they're using it in the wrong way (as a noun), using it as noun instead of an adjective is just weird and is not reciprocate for men

no one goes calling us men males in the wrong form constantly like that

it’s derogatory when using it as a noun. if you use it as an adjective, it’s usually fine. can’t think of any examples of it being used as an adjective would be bad unless the sentence itself is referring to women in a bad way, but that wouldn’t be the fault the word “female”

idk if its offensive or not but i never once felt right calling women that, sometimes you have to cause "women vocalist" doesn't sound as good as "female vocalist" only times i use "female" is when "women" doesn't fit a sentence to me

If you read the OP, I’ve never referred to women as “females.” I asked my question because I was honestly confused as to why people seem more offended by that word now more than ever
