Incredible album, i remember nearly screaming when i saw the CD at Target so many years ago. my favorite album at the time
I bought the CD at the tour
Classic song
Hearing that song be debuted at PHAROS in California with the 3D visuals all around me >>>>>>>
it’s corny and mid
You’re regurgitating some groupthink KTT bullshit without providing any actual criticism of value
People trashing on the album weren’t there during the era
Or they think Camp is better for whatever reason
To be fair, if you HAD to be there at that point, then the album isn't a classic on its own legs (which is my hesitancy on agreeing that it's a classic.)
Not saying the album isn't a classic, but that's a v flawed argument

Nah I’m just saying WE got a much better understanding of why it’s a classic
We didn’t have any homework about the album we were consuming the script when it dropped and consumed everything meanwhile people who don’t know s*** about it probably get overwhelmed by everything they have to read and watch to fully understand why it’s a classic
we were childish but had to grow up...
False
I used to think this was true, then I matured

If I have to read a script to understand why an album is classic then it’s not a classic dawg

Nah I was there, it was catchy but it was also kind of weird
The real game changing moment was being the first people in the world to hear Redbone I just remember leaving PHAROS like “that ‘creeping’ song was really good”
Not even remotely close to being a classic. Was amazing at the time but aged like milk in a sauna
Those corny raps slapped in high school though

The Friday crowd went pretty crazy for California honestly, what day were you there?
But also yes... standing there in amazement while we were serenaded with the world premiere of Redbone

Guess The Wall isn’t a classic then cause you gotta watch a movie to fully understand it
