i wonder what would happen if a younger artist like carti, baby, uzi, etc. put that much effort into an album like this
or if they could even do such a thing
I think Travis has the potential to do something on that scale for that type of sound but he would really have to lock in

he’s made beautiful albums, i’d really only need him to take some time to better his writing tbh
he could make a f***ing classic. he still has it in him i think
Nah some of y’all need to get smacked expeditiously, “trying too hard to be perfect” like what tf u on u bum
Lmaooooo I’ll never understand that though, especially when it comes to art
You would hope the music you’re listening to sounds like there was a lot of effort put into it. It’s different if by “too perfect”, they mean it sounds like some basic ass robotic Jacob Collier s***, but that’s not the case lol
Mfs just wanna big up artists who are a little bit ass so they can act like it’s the best s*** ever
That's Kanyes vision, I'm giving you my opinion. Things change. I'm talking about the music/art, not the person, it's seperate.

It’s just back to the current trend that it’s uncool to actually put effort into anything that you’re doing
If anything Wayne was the one who started the whole rockstar thing in rap on Rebirth. Kanye was on his 100% hip hop s*** after 808s and the Taylor thing. Lot of people were let down by 808s at the time of it dropping

You think Rebirth was an authentic take at being a Rockstar from Wayne? 😭😭😭
More like this nigga needed a reason to do something like 808s and did it in subpar fashion that album is in no way executed at mbdtf level
It's still peak, soulful, based, kino, classic etc but it has aged IMO. LR, for example, sounds much fresher and is better to me now atp.

Na but the rockstar image y'all are talking about itt is the Wayne image from Rebirth. Plenty of those types of "rappers" around the last 10-15 years. I have yet to hear an album like Dark Fantasy, though. Or the influence of that sound--anywhere lol

Yeah Wayne definitely was thinking of 808s when he made Rebirth
