The point of small businesses is indeed to make profit, and the source of profit is exploitation.
You don’t know what you’re talking about. A smalls business has such a wide scope. I can consult for IT companies right now and my efforts would make me a 1 person small business. Many people with small businesses are either completely family type operations or just a few people close together starting their own venture. So your exploitation argument doesn’t make a lick of sense. None of the things you say make sense and would only resonate with an idiot. That’s why you keep spewing nonsense on a platform with impressionable minds rather than actually doing stuff in the field.

none of this actually refutes the idea that those people are trying to make a profit.
Fk small businesses and their 8$ coffees & bagels. Foh. I’m Big Bank’s, Big Pharma’s & Big Tech’s personal cash cow. Moo moo. I love being in financial bondage. Sorry Jeff! Please be careful! That’s not my udder! That’s my- OOOUUUHHHHHH
That’s not always true dude
It is the case in any long term business plan lol
do you have a solution
of course he doesn't
internet communists just say s*** without providing an alternative
do you have a solution
yes, overthrow of the capitalist system
until then, democratic worker ownership
you would also know, if you read theory that the petite bourgeoisie are split in their so called allegiances. and small business owners are definitely more aligned with their larger capitalist counterparts 99.9% of the time.
I didn’t say they’re not lol, I even said that the petite bourgeoisie are exploitative
You gonna guillotine black and brown small business owners you white f***?
There’s more effective ways you can be mobilising on the left rather than having stupid thoughts like this thinking you’re accomplishing something. read through the vast majority of people calling you a moron in this thread and consider the thought ‘hmm maybe they have a point’
You had a breakdown after losing your imaginary sxn mod job bro, consider what it would be like as a family watching your business burn down before you

Just playing peaceful harmony’s advocate here
What happens when that business plan doesnt go as well as they planned and the company doesn’t make a profit
Should the workers share that risk too if they own the business with the founder? As in, lower their wages, be responsible for the company’s loans, pay the debts when the business go bankrupt etc
Muh hecking wholesome small biznizerino
Meanwhile a millionaire in reality but still stingy af
Most of these "small businesses" aint like the mom&pop store propaganda they put in your minds
Because the profit is used to pay for their livelihood like everyone else not things like stock buy backs and CEO bonuses

Well in worker co-ops that could be the case yeah
But those decisions are made collectively and not by some sorry small business tyrant

Worker co-ops not the endgoal tho let that be clear

Yea this y i feel like coops are better for larger companies than small businesses
Like a factory that’s been running for decades with a 100 people, relatively low risk shared by a lot of workers
But i dont see it as a viable model for small shops or startups with very low life expectancy

You do realize under socialism, people still would be trying to make profits. Jeez, you're a moron
Small businesses don't just go away. They have been part of society since the beginning of mankind

difference between an individual exploiting others to make a profit and how profit works in the early stages of a socialist society.
