It's good to think it's weird but we have to uproot institutional racism before we can assert that one can be both "white" and "black", or any other race AND white, simultaneously.

Ultimately, the goal of anti-racism needs to be about not only addressing racism, but undoing material and psychological institutions that keep it alive, so that the concept of race can wither away in the future. Race doesn't exist but the social construct of race is a material obstacle that holds back people of color globally.
