Do people still use VSCO I thought that was a dead app for posting on from a decade ago
I still use it sometimes to edit pics tho but not the profile page aspect of it
vsco girls are still going strong
I joined just after COVID because I got into reselling sneakers and it was the only way to enter local store raffles. By that point, people already moved on from making posts and just did stories. I feel like that's what led to the app falling off. Never really used it much. Have less than 10 posts, posted a few stories but I open it a few times every month and just check out some people's stories
Don't think it's just a dating app, but I did get a few dates by sliding into DMs. I think the For You page algorithm is nefarious af though. I deadass won't open the app for a few months and there's just ass and titties on there

Idk I do the same thing lol. The filters are fire , it’s my go to for edits
To post my Ws and scroll reels
And tbh its my mainline for contacting me, i only keep close friends and family in my social circle tho,
I just crosspost to it and keep up with local scenes and events on it. Best thing to do is ask a local DJ for a list of all local venues to follow they usually have a master list on hand. Follow all of those, local conventions and nature centers and nothing else, then your feed is just stories of places to go touch grass on the weekend.
only joined because the women on these dating apps always called me a serial killer for not having an insta
good times

Social media is the safest way to vet most ppls compatibility. I can take 2 mins on anyones for you feeds and see if they are dangerous or not. The algorithm knows who u are
It's the new FB bro. If you don't wanna give out your number you give out your IG. Pull hella hoes like that
i use it to get for finding restos, coffeeshops, new gallery shows/art exhibits, new things ive never heard about to do in my area
i feel like its good at providing u deep cut recommendations, esp for travel
i also follow creators that tend to be educational, like theres one guy i follow that just reads the odyssey in period accurate greek and breaks down how its period accurate/how greek evolved over time. or creators that discuss different fashion shows and the symbolism behind certain choices/references
finally a lot of funny posts/reels tbh
i dont follow really that many ppl from irl, and if i do, i mute all of them except my immediate closest friends
i dont post much, i sometimes want to more bc i find that its a nice way for ppl to feel a connection to you even if you havent been immediately texting/gives ppl an opportunity to reach out to you without it being super out the blue
however im lazy as f***
I feel like SoMe like Insta is the new lottery.
You post an hope you go viral and get money, but just like the lottery you always lose.
Would like to use it keep up with friends and share my art, but every time I am on it I just get a bad feeling.
It feels so commercial, but in a social status way.
Making my page private did a lot of good for my mental health.
I'm on Threads these days it feels more authentic, ppl really be posting their thoughts there
but it's basically tiktok/facebook 2 with all the short viral video bait there to trap your dopamine
got it late cuz i never liked social media but also never posted a single picture of myself on any platform ever
just use it to post art and scroll reels sometimes thats it i dont even reply to ppl on there
funny ig stories from musicians i follow plus merch drops. and my friends sending me reels of course
