Smacked VoodooThey most definitely get a hard time knock it off. Jay Z, Nas, Lil Wayne, and Ghostface to name a few have all gotten their "They fell off, it's over" licks over time. The thing is they eventually came back and dropped either solid albums or went on a hotstreak of great features on pretty big albums.
Eminem gets a hard time because he literally been dropping absolute dogshit and has yet to make a whole project that's actually good and worthwhile to go back to.

Feb 25, 2023His hate comes from a combination of his fanbase (the primary factor), latter flows being almost caricature-like, him being white in a predominantly black field, lyrics aging badly (even if they are from classic projects), and a younger generation of people making opinions on him without living through his era. Dude is a legend even as someone who doesn’t really like his music that much it’s undeniable as a fan of hip hop

But nah on the real Eminem has dropped absolute mid or trash albums literally throughout all the 2010s, and his delusional stanbase who hardly listen to many other rappers besides him and maybe 50 Cent and Dr Dre put him on this pedestal of artists who can do no wrong when to be honest...he really peaked early af in his career.
To put it simply, bro just hasn't made good music since 2004. Yes since 2004. Some of y'all can cling to Relapse as much as ya want but that s*** was mid too. Just because it was better than everything he dropped after doesn't automatically make it a great album. At it's very best, it was just subpar.

Relapse just ain't do it for me. I always felt why listen to Relapse when I can listen to SSLP, MMLP, or TES which are kinda in line with Relapse, but are much better
