??? The whole thread was discussing Do The Right Thing and Malcolm X for 11 pages out of now 15 straight
.....im sorry but youre off your literal rocker my dude.
name dropping a movie to earn a "gotcha" is not discussing a movie.
what is going on with you lmao
It’s a fantasy movie…that didn’t need fantasy? I’m not getting it
the fantasy just got TOO corny. They dragged all that corny s*** way too long.
Post Knight Nolan
Inception = cool heady concept, some campy emotional weight
DKR = An okay send off to the franchise but a plot and some plot holes that is frankly ridiculous and some really bizarre acting
Interstellar = A film marred with tacky thematic elements and a “love will save the day” message, only held up by some iconic character acting scenes and groundbreaking visuals
Dunkirk = The film gives you no reason to care for any character, instead you’re thrown into a plot with a tediously nonlinear structure that grabs your attention but doesn’t feel like it’s inviting you into the realism by completely ignoring what the characters are going through in the moment making no real connections. Personal conflicts are completely neglected and it feels boring.
Tenet = First lead Nolan doesn’t give a name to and is essentially asking you to just hold his hand and vibe. His sound design at this point is incomprehensible and your day is ruined. Maybe it could be a good trip if it was executed in a more surreal way, but his dedication to offer no leniency into the realm of cgi technology at his fingertips really prevents what is possible in his films and at this point has put more frustrating limitations on his work rather than the goodwill he is seemingly suggesting. He has completely given up on writing a compelling character and has instead fully committed to the conceptual aspects, he might as well get a second writer for his characters and get someone else to direct the actors cause they feel so detached from what is actually happening.
Damn y’all putting effort into post now funs over

“Gotcha” what are you on about, why are you making this more than it is? You said the thread was discussing TDK more than any Spike Lee movie and it wasn’t…that’s all
You keep trying to be dramatic about mfs mental state cause you getting called out for saying lil stupid s*** is hilarious
you sleeping on interstellar
The girl that plays the daughter early in the movie sucks ass
Matt Damon turning into a Bond villain is one of the strangest tonal shifts I’ve seen in a movie, that seemingly has little bearing on the plot as it doesn’t effect too much of the outcome by the end of the villain

Apologetically Black filmmakers being more respected in Hollywood

It’s a movie about the multiverse tho, it’s gonna be a really fantastical movie
