When someone says someone other than Snoop,I automatically think their a foreigner. 50 or Em a sorta close second tho
This man said most people couldn’t name 5 snoop songs
I’ve seen snoop songs referenced on American dad. That’s about as mainstream broad audience as it gets
There was a time after the start of the Iraq War but before school shootings started happening every day where the two funniest things you could ever do were 1) pronounce “fifty” as “fiddy” and 2) say “fuhshizzle my nizzle, this burger king is da shiznit!”
Youre right
It’s just something that people say. Snoop discog is honestly underrated.
As recent as 2015 he dropped a collab album with Pharrell and it was one of my favorite projects that year.
You talking bush? Yeah bush is great. The one with dam funk is decent too
Snoop Dogg by a mile, there’s a reason why he can go from doing commercials for Nickelodeon to smoking weed on IG and getting caught cheating on his wife without consequences.
It’s kinda crazy when you consider his rebrand after he left Death Row.
Snoop was one of the most feared people in the business and he somehow ended up on a cooking show with Martha Stewart.
Name em for the folks at home
Correction: He has 6 good albums, by Snoop's standards.
Doggystyle
No Limit Top Dogg
R & G
Tha Blue Carpet Treatment
Mac & Devin
Bush
You said universal and you mention Snoop Dogg?? It's obviously Drake
Yeah but Drake also has a lot of haters
There’s not many people that outright hate Snoop which is what I think OPs point is

I’d personally add the game is to be sold and ego Trippin to the lost but I agree with every selection you put up

There are people who have never heard a snoop song in anything other than passing and the moment you say his name they know who he is fo shizzle

It’s crazy actually,I think when he signed with Star Trak and laid off the gangsta rap a lil, people started to like his personality more. Then you gotta remember he had a reality show and was doing tons of commercials even back then.

One album that is criminally underrated is Coolaid. It was a return to form but nobody even bothered listening to it.

Fr. Only gave it a spin because of the album cover and was pleasantly surprised

That's exactly why I gave it a listen too. I believe the cover was done by the same artist that did Doggystyle.
snoops personality is known more than his music
most people couldn’t name 5 snoop songs
but everyone knows one dance, hotline, gods plan, nice for what, etc
drake definitely bigger musically than snoop ever was
Maybe for people who started listening to music in 2016
will smith
Came itt to say this. Nobody remembers this nigga came up rapping and then decided to be an actor
Will Smith > Snoop for this question because of how iconic Fresh Prince theme song is and his raps are more relatable/accessible due to no swearing. Like most parents were cool with their kids listening to Will Smith

Good point
I want to know where snoops “one good album” idea came from. It’s not true. Snoops pimp rebrand was massive and maybe you were too young to remember it but blue carpet treatment and r&g were both great albums and well liked with major hits
I think the sheer number of projects in Snoops catalogue turn people off to his albums (other than Doggystyle since that’s his undebated classic)
