It was a cold Friday night. Carti sat in the studio quiet, smoking a blunt and focusing on the beats made by Richie Souf. He nodded his head at some but asked for another pack to be put on. The engineer open up the WoD pack and Carti's eyes lit up as the first beat played, Carti walked over to the mic and mumbled "this for Onyx." It was in that moment he recorded what would be known as Stop Breathing. The others in the room were agasp at what had transpired as Carti manifested a energy unlike any other.

I'll never forget when I first met Carti around 2019 he was a very unpredictable dude, one moment he'd be chill and goofy as hell and the next he was all fiery passion and loud. One time I was sitting in the living room with Pizza on my lap and this nigga Carti stormed in the house yelling and cursing about some leaks that happened earlier in the day. I tried to tune him out cuz he was always ranting bout sumthin but then he slapped my pizza out my hand and yelled "Niggas like you are the problem! You sitting here eatin the white man's pizza and watchin the white man's tv, while sleepin on a nigga couch that you ain't even listening to!" and I was like "Nigga you told me to order the Dominos"
