weekend signed to republic. carti and kendrick are on interscope, theyre label mates
Still I think that a label mandating verses or songs in this case and magnitude is not applicable. I mean were talking about Carti, a guy who couldve easily dropped wlr v1 with hits/viral songs like pissy pamper, cancun, molly, skeleton. Yet he decided to drop the thing we got.
Almost ran over an old woman to pop out
I remember my first time too
LIKE WEEZY beat reminds me of some childhood tv show but its top 10 song on album

Why’d everyone say you were banned earlier

Weezy (lil Wayne) not wheezy (producer)
Seen your edit good job
I know you aren’t coming from a disrespectful place, so take none of what I’m about to say as direct towards you.
But it’s insulting to Cartis artistry to think that the man doesn’t have free will over his own music when there’s been zero indication of label interference with this album so far aside from loose speculation.
Kendrick is the biggest rapper rn in hip-hop and has had an insane run the past year. It’s definitely not far fetched to think Carti wanted to work with him on some music and Kendrick was down. Kendrick and Carti actually have some history, as Carti is close friends with some of Kendrick’s close friends in Cali, and has been since before he blew up.
All this really spells out is how obnoxious beef discourse has gotten to the point both sides will fling s***, even if the thought behind it has little resemblance of a logical thought.
oh yeah i see what u mean
Why’d everyone say you were banned earlier
@smokingrules said I killed myself because the album was so bad and somehow that got misconstrued into me being banned
