ive been listening to this album all day and i even listened to it on my headphones while i was skiing alone and on like the tenth time i heard backdoor i realized how incredible kendrick is on that song

It’s not Kendrick’s role to be vet every collaborators’ personal life who come in the studio with him, but he did make a choice to affirm his morals in a competition where he dismantled his opponent once family and home values got involved.

So it’s fair for fans to call his inconsistencies when he’s working with other rappers whose personal issues that don’t match those is publicly known. Especially for an incredible hyper-conscious artist whose best work deals with his own hypocrisies.
