" to know the future of rap, we must look at the history of rock. rock music was literally exactly like rap in terms of evolution sound wise. currently i think were in the mid 70s. rock was going through big hair commercial s***, and the emergence of the punk was imminent. what ** dont realize is that punk music is this new rap that ** are on now. uzi and carti imo are leading the pack in this genre, because they have the help of the mastermind behind this new subgenre of rap, pierre borune.

the common critique of playboi carti is his lack of lyricism. he has nothing to say, hes ed, blah blah blah all that bullshit. You might ask what i mean by that. the greatest rap artist of all time, kanye west, was the pioneer of this musical technique in the hip hop community. using the artist as an instrument, thus infusing them with the song instead of them standing out. his best example is probably all of the lights, where he had like 20 ** singing doing different things in the background.
