One of my least favorites on whole lotta red, hba clears 90% of Carti & Pierre’s work. Keep this song and place tbh

HBA is a strong 9/10 in its own right, the aura on it is immense

But no sir does it clear 90% of Pi’erre & Carti

Pi’erre helped architect Carti’s sound, while WLR is to me the pinnacle of his efforts, the dynamic they had is (so far) unmatched

Same goes for ArtDealer, he’s my favourite Carti producer tbh

Would I want a Carti project mostly produced by Pi’erre in 2024? Absolutely not

But their 2017-20 run was legendary

I’ve never been a big fan of Pierre’s production outside of a few songs tbh. The best tracks on self titled, die lit & wlr are produced by other people imo. Wokeuplikethis, rip, love hurts, flatbed freestyle & rip fredo the only Pierre & Carti joints I really rock with and even those haven’t aged the best to me. I like Pierre’s work with nudy a lot more than his work with Carti, s*** is very dumbed down

If we never hear Carti n Pierre again then
Place was a nice lil send off/closure track similar to how boss up was for Carti n Dro

I used to think the pause in place was a mistake n they were jus too lazy to fix but now I understand that it’s there to serve as a moment of silence that symbolizes the end their partnership
