honestly this sparse production style is way better than the rage beats and i think highlights his creativity as a vocalist

he may not have the bar flow of his influences but no one can doubt his creativity and presence on the mic

these beats is just highlighting how much of the music is him, without sacrificing their quality

he had 2 inevitably before it becomes cosplay. his team fitted him crazy, them yt la boys know their s*** trust thats half my friend group

his team made that style authentic while unique to him being a black performer. it was well done from a fashion / marketing perspective. he had a whole team of westwoods on him.

music is 75% marketing and his team just undedstand that world building to the tenth degree.

him stepping into this trap nigga fantasy without necessarily being a future / thug / wayne..

i csnt explain it. it has the raw authenticity thats been absent from a lot of the most popping hip hop artists to 2/3 years, while still being accessible the average listener outside of the atl scene.

its like atl has been on the map for the past decade, but instead of letting it be commercialized and over saturated like (respectfully) how QC has been running migos and lil baby, carti markets the scene / atmosphere just in a way thats true to the most succesful musical acts in history
