The US monopolized the use of force on a global scale post WWII and has killed and backed the killing of millions of innocents many many times over. Vietnam is unfathomable just as a start. You know who supported Pol Pot in exile? The US. You know who ended his reign? The Viet communists!

Chamberlain wanted the Red and Nazis to fight it out amongst themselves. The French were split down the middle between fascists themselves and USSR was purging non stop etc.

Churchill was a piece of s*** and stabbed many of the people who fought the Nazis in the back. The way he handled Greece alone was unforgivable. He was a competing brand tbh. Russia did the heavy lifting. No amount of post war retconning can change that

Man that was not at all the primary thing that made that destined that alliance to fail. It provided a good excuse for the other parties to vacillate though.

At the end of the day the purges were necessary even if there were excesses. USSR likely could not have defeated the Nazis were it not for them

It’s not fun stuff and I’m not going to glamorize them but it was a political calculation that was needed to build the forces and discipline necessary for the situation

Theres no correlation with videogames and violence. That is a fact. Just because the columbine kids played doom or whatever, so did millions and millions of other people who never did those things. Thats like saying water causes violence because the columbine kids drank water too. Those issues are caused by severe mental illness, which the usa is set up in a way that a lot of people cannot be treated for. The only issue with games is American military propaganda that is leeched into videogames and people signing up for the military because of it. But that’s nothing new and has been done in movies, tv shows and posters for decades or longer. The blame should be on propaganda, not on the medium the propaganda is used.

Great thread op but i think its unhealthy to constantly be thinking about your perceived enemy. im not going to mince words here but it has become very clear over the past few years that nonwhite people simply do not like white people. we dont have to dance around that fact but what i dont understand is why ppl like OP feel like white people as a whole have this constant thought of violence towards nonwhite people or black people specifically. its just simply an untrue and very dangerous mindset to have when talking about a group of people. its certainly based on historical context but the average white person doesnt have daily thoughts of killing black people. thats just not true.
