FreightProbably <10% of KTT2 actually read that review in 2010 – 50% of the people here probably weren't even listening to hip-hop in 2010 – but at the time Pitchfork carried a lot of weight with blog boys and internet nerds on forums. Just look at the dude that does the Dissect podcast. You think that dude wasn't reading pitchfork and wasn't influenced by them? He then creates a huge hit podcast talking about how amazing the album is and then that influences a bunch of people.

I lived thru MBDTF like allot of people did. I can’t imagine anyone habitually skimming thru Pitchfork waiting for a 10/10 to drop and forcing themselves to like that s***. I just can’t see your vision

whippet volverseI still feel like the love MBDTF gets is more due to everything surrounding the era, the bs drama in the media, and the imagery, the visuals like the iconic Red suit performance. don't get me wrong it's still a Great album, but people worship it because of more than the music. it might be a trash opinion, but to me it's the probably the least interesting album content wise that Kanye released during what most would call his "peak".
I kinda agree with this. It’s a GOAT Kanye era and people associate that with the album

Tyler the creator is close to dropping something amazing he’s like knocking on the door. Childish gambino could as well too if he got more serious with it.

Palestinian OoziMBDTF was so revered that past few years people have started picking it apart to the point it’s becoming underrated. Album is pretty f***ing perfect. Sounds exactly like it’s title.
