Both came after a lengthy 5 year wait
J. Cole’s confusing bloated messy retirement album
vs Baby Keem’s undercooked sophomore album with a bunch of songs about how his mom did him wrong

casino was rlly good. yall wanted him to drop mdbtf or sum?
The Fall-Off wasn't a disappointment cause it is very good.
Ca$ino wasn't a disappointment cause I ain't have grand expectations, and got "Good Flirts" out of it.
I wasn't expecting either of these albums to be crazy tbh
Although I'm not a Cole fan, and I think Keem is cool
I do wish Keems album had a few more tracks tho and I would like to hear what Fall Off sounded like pre beef era
Casino was a wonderful album anyone disappointed must be mad at their own expectations (lots of ppl expected a hit filled comeback album and not a personal unpacking)
The Fall Off was one of the most disappointing first listens ever for me because it just felt like a bunch of good safe j cole songs and nothing like a retirement album but after sitting with it I kinda accepted it just feels like if Drake dropped FATD as his retirement album…
I appreciate this thread because there are many parallels to be drawn especially the hype shared and the expectations diverted but we have to keep in mind that Casino dropped with zero rollout while Fall Off had like 8 years of hype and singles and 2 warm-up tapes.
Don’t think either of these albums were disappointments
Which album has an Erika Kirk walkout song and which one doesn’t?
Cole’s most anticipated album was forgotten quicker than donda 2
Casino maybe got 1 skip, The Fall Off still haven’t finish disc 2.
the best song on Disc 2 was the single he dropped before the record everything else is pretty weak
Two awful love songs back to back
Both were kinda what i expected. Like Cole a lot more so was hoping there’d be more songs id keep tho
Ca$ino for me easily. I actually really like The Fall Off.
Ca$ino feels like it’s missing something and then it ends and you’re like Hollup that’s it?
Keem had to write steppers, beef and gnx for Kendrick so it makes sense he wasn’t all there for his own stuff. Cole was building up an intricate MCU style cinematic conclusion to this story arc so you have to have been paying attention to him for the past decade to fully appreciate it.
Ca$ino may be short but it’s his best imo
It’s basically impossible for any rapper to drop their magnum opus at 40 years old just cause the same type of energy just isn’t there anymore at that age. But if anyone was going to do it, it wouldn’t be J Cole so bro was doomed to fail from the start.
I really enjoyed Ca$ino and it’s clearly a personal album that wasn’t intended to run the charts or anything.
didnt expect much from either
that one kendrick song is really good
was very pleasantly surprised by cole, first project ive liked from him since fnl
Both were great :)
I actually didn’t mind Casino and I’m not a fan of Baby Keem at all so gotta go with The Fall Off
didn't even bother with either tbh
For the record, I don't think either album was a disappointment.
I do think The Fall-Off was a better album though, maybe that's because I just like J. Cole more than Baby Keem.

Word so he's Jack Antonoff; used to write well for others but his own stuff is all garbage???
cole tried at least
initial thought redacted, no hate shall be directed towards Jermaine Cole from me, as I follow the King's vow to renounce war

Very true, the attempt/effort does matter
Keem’s last album deluxe was really good too, wish he drop more music.
Fall Off, was so hyped for it and haven't returned for it after the first couple weeks. I liked Ca$ino a lot though definitely could have been slightly longer
