wow. i went into this with no singles and most of it just blew me away. his songwriting always really shines to me but i really enjoy what he did on the production too. off-kilter but still accessible. Solo Tape and Purple Land were the low point for me, but everything around that kept me pretty captivated. Round the World is crazy. this will be getting repeated listens.

Oh wow.
I really f***ed with Death Jokes. I'll give the new mixes a listen.
Only heard it the once and while I don't yet necessarily think any track is better than the OG it is still really beautiful.
Purple Land though gives the OG a serious run for it's money. The Woody Allen sample on Round the World also hits 10 times harder. Rugby Child as well actually may be as brilliant as the OG.
Round the World still the track of the year to me as well.
This interview gives some more insight into the decision.

I sometimes wonder, is this really the right place to be open hearted?
man, thanks for linking this. love when an artist feels comfortable enough to show actual vulnerability in a written piece.
listening to the remixes rn too, Rugby Child
