Also he's lucky that he's a generic looking white dude
Because if he's on the run all he needs to do is wear a mask and he can blend in most random towns
wild af bc police would never go up to random white dudes checking them if he kept a baseball cap and a mask on
lmao only way he getting caught is if he hit the bank or some s***
I don't want to seem unempathetic, but damn is it weird how much attention/energy it gets when a blonde white woman dies.
God forgive me for these thoughts.
I mean it's perfectly obvious. Not the same scenario by any means, but Breonna Taylor immediately comes to mind. She was executed in her own home by a police officer and I still saw people calling her an ape on Twitter.
I think part of it - and this is obviously compounded by the fact that she was somewhat of a public figure - is that there are so many high quality pictures of Gabby that outlets dug up to use. 99% of news coverage used the same grainy pic of Breonna with flowers. It shows how much more willing outlets are to show a white woman rather than a black woman in coverage of a crime, but it also goes to show how much people are parasocially willing to attach to a white woman because she "looks so sweet" and blends in with their favorite influencers, many of whom are also white.
I don't think it's unempathetic at all. There's never a right time to make these points, but it's crucial that we keep on top of manufactured bias in where we direct our focus. We can mourn Gabby and call for her justice while also keeping that energy for missing and murdered black women.

Yea lol
Like a hat/mask/sunglasses combo is super common and that's like 50% of the people walking around
Shorty just became a YouTuber? I was thinking she had followers, videos and a channel for some time. Interesting this is getting this much attention
imagine your girlfriend goes missing and you just like "talk to my lawyer bucko"
I mean realistically, that's your best course if you're being looked at as a suspect. Even if you're innocent your lawyer will advise you to direct them to him and keep your mouth closed.

This only got mainstream attention when that police footage was released

I mean at least pretend to look damn . Y’all not seen gone girl
I mean at least pretend to look damn . Y’all not seen gone girl
Exactly LOL
Imagine not wanting to help rescue/look for her
Who gives a s*** about being seen as innocent his #1 priority should have been "I'm not leaving this park until I find her alive"
“ I can’t believe this white girl going missing is getting more attention than the many women that go missing all year “ says population who loved Gone Girl
Like don’t just mention the missing black , trans , Native American women as what aboutism when a white girl is missing . We get your point . You can choose to talk about them all year long and only use them to detract from this girl missing
We can possess empathy for multiple cases . Yet once someone missing a certain amount of time it all feels hopeless

He a suspect whether he looks or not so not looking just makes it look like he knows the answer

one good thing about this is a whole lot of people know what he looks like now if they see him in public.
Imagine killing your girlfriend thinking it'll be just another missing persons investigation and then that s*** goes viral
Also stupid question (I'm not American so don't crucify me), but why is the FBI involved in this and not just state police?
Is it because it involves multiple states?

Multiple states and when cases get big / he isn’t in the state where it occurred

Bruh started with “ imagine killing your girlfriend “ I never would but if you kill your girlfriend you got bigger problems going on than “ what if Twitter hears about this “
Is it possible for this guy to be any more generic looking? I feel like there's gonna be a ton of false sightings called in just cause he looks like every other 20 something balding white guy out there
He a suspect whether he looks or not so not looking just makes it look like he knows the answer
he may be a suspect either way but searching at least shows some form of concern. he clearly didn't care about her, even if he didn't kill her
