Episode 3 just confirmed something for me: Drake is artistically lost.

I’m not sure what that beef did to him, but something is off. The music isn’t hitting anymore. It’s like he’s grasping for something musically at this point, but can’t quite reach it. There used to be a certain magic that came alongside with his music, that’s just not there anymore.

Yeah all these episodes seem like him mostly just throwing out a bunch of snippets and seeing what takes off the most so he can go in that direction. He's been doing that a lot this decade. He's at his best when he's locked into one sonic direction (her loss, hnvm) and at his worst when he's throwing s*** at a wall in all directions (fatd, Iceman so far)
