Shoulda Did a couple of projects that were less lyrically dense and more aesthetics (cover art, visuals and production styles) driven even after the Lasers fiasco. He could have solidified his spot on the rap hierarchy doing a few projects in that in between spot of being a more lyrical contemporary of P and Ye
Especially once they left their late 2000’s swags behind respectively that should have been his cornered lane

NujaT&Y better than Kendrick’s entire discography which is saying a lot considering Kendrick has a phenomenal discography. The Cool & F&L can probably go toe to toe with the Kendrick’s albums too. But as a whole. Kendrick is the better artist and better discography in the grand scheme.
Kendrick has 5 albums. Your saying T&Y is better than all of them and 2 other Lupe albums are as good as the remaining 4 Kendrick albums yet Lupes discography is worse? Surely Lupe has a better discography for you at that point?

Kendrick doesn’t have a single miss for me, DAMN is my least favorite but it’s not a miss. That being said. T&Y is one of my favorite rap albums of all time. So compared to most discographies, I’m rating it above the majority. F&L 1 & The Cool rate high on that list too. That being said, Lupe’s misses are hard misses for me. Can’t ever bring myself to listen to Lasers, F&L 2, Drogas Light in full on purpose ever again. I can listen to Kendrick’s entire discography front to back. Kendrick is absolutely the more consistent artist to me with a stronger discography. I just rate T&Y THAT highly and I think his first two albums compete with Kendrick’s discography. His other albums are just okay or severely underwhelming

Lupe got hard misses but he also got amazing mixtapes. The Fahrenheit tapes are so far beyond OD or UU or whatever you wanna classify from dot as a tape. Even Friend of the People goes crazy
I do agree Kendrick’s biggest strength is that he’s never made a genuinely awful album. But s***, a lot of his albums are genuinely just not interesting to listen to either. I would never play Morale or GNX

Yeah he shoulda been in stadiums. If he dropped a Tetsuo and Youth in 2012 which was the time to do it, he 100% woulda been performing in them. But also I think the Atlantic experience really warped his idea of what a hit is and it caused him to go on a big miss streak during that whole era
