I feel like humanity is midding out

    Nothing cool besides anime

charli xcx should've named her album Music, Fashion, Anime instead

  • people who hate on anime don't understand the hidden messages that they carry

way better than western film and television

  • anything western film and television try to do, anime does it way better

  • I want to switch from computer science/statistics to neurogenetics/evolutionary biology

  • I want to characterize the intelligence of various animals

Then relate their traits to genetics

Ultimately we want to define consciousness and determine what causes it to arise

Interesting....I need to look more into Taoism and Buddhism as a minimalist.

Embracing boredom is also part of the game of success to me...doing the same boring needle moving actions/tasks that get me closer to my goals.

  • In hinduism theres this concept of the path of action and the path of contemplation

The idea is some people are incarnated to contemplate on s*** while others are incarnated to do s***

I think contemplation is considered more advanced, im not sure what path im on but i feel more inclined towards action lately

  • about how i never got paid for this

  • I also feel like im on the path of not giving a f*** which is weird cus it is sorta a buddhist mentality but theres this adventeurous spirit that drives me to do cool s***

i studied western philosophy when i was a teenager. the closest thing to taoism and buddhism i was practicing was probably stoicism and pantheism, so i was able to practice taoism and buddhism easily. i think it's hard to start practicing taoism and buddhism when you're in your 20s or older and stay committed to them. i was raised as a roman catholic too even though i was agnostic and atheist after i became a teenager, but i've always been curious and open-minded.

buddhists believe reality is an illusion. once you believe that, you become kind of nihilistic, but not enough to ruin yourself. most buddhists are good people and care about others, but i'm pretty sure there is some kind of plan for everyone.

  • Another interesting idea is how social structures influence evolution. This is where we get fancy with the statistics. Describe how different aspects of social systems influence evolution and feedback into environment/social dynamics that further influence evolution

I agree that in some sense this world is an illusion and is ultinately sort of irrelevant in the broader scheme of things. However, i also believe that we exist for a reason and that our actions and thoughts influence not just where we go in the afterlife but the totality of existence in a feedback loop

we need good karma just in case the afterlife or reincarnation is real. if i'm negative most of the time, i'll regret it later.

i don't do much because i'm a taoist even though i'm also a buddhist, but if i was only a buddhist, then i would do a lot more good than not doing much

Thats basically how i see it. Idk what happens after death but im not willing to forsake potential nirvana for worldy pursuits

  • Dharma is a core concept of hinduism that says we all have a purpose and goal in life

Im not willing to disbelieve this. I strongly believe it is imperitive for me to follow my life path. When im lost i just say whats the best thing i can do at this moment to move the world in a better direction

  • Something as simple as a ktt post that shares your viewpoint and feelings about life is a good thing to do

Thats following the love inside u that drives u towards your life path
