I know it’ll break me when it happens, but I can make myself whole again. I have to.
I think realistically this site is some people’s only interaction with black/urban people lol

Vice versa too though I read s*** on here I would never come across if I wasn’t on a this type of platform
Either Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, or Indonesia.
They are considered some of the cheapest countries to move/travel to. You can stretch the U.S. dollar pretty far there and have a fair share of U.S. expats.
I want to move mainly because I don’t like the direction America is going in and moving to a completely different continent sounds cool af.
By any chance are you black

If I may interject, I would think more deeply about why I want to move to another country besides "it's cheap". Are you actually looking to emigrate somewhere, learn the language and local culture, get a job, settle down, etc. or are you simply looking to take an extended vacation? Also, how will you contribute to said country after moving there? Wealthy Westerners moving to developing countries are generally despised by the people living there because they treat the city/locals like a zoo and contribute to gentrification, displacement, and the erosion of their culture (Mexico City is a great example). I'm not suggesting someone should stay in America forever if they don't want to, but at least be conscious of these things before moving somewhere; most American expats live in their own bubble and never consider such things.

Yeah I want to learn the language and live amongst the people. I’ll clean their pools and pick up litter, I’m way more conscientious than most Americans. I’ve been in love with geography and cultures since I was a kid and it never stopped. I just want to live somewhere safe and inexpensive.
I’ve also barely been out of the country so I’d love to travel a few times and see some stuff before I make that decision.
I did see a YouTube video the other day about this dude from LA who moved to India and started a burrito company and the company makes like 23 million a year. That was kind of inspiring.
I wonder if I could start a business in another country like Thailand or Vietnam with the ~90K I could get from selling my pool business

Sounds like you're approaching it from the right perspective. There's a heavy allure to moving abroad (which is amplified by influencers trying to sell people a false narrative). The reality is that it's often messy and not for everyone, but for others it can turn out great. You won't know which side you fall on for sure until you try it. A lot of Westerners move to China and Southeast Asia to become English teachers, living in a mid tier affordable Chinese city sounds pretty fun tbh and gives you a better quality of life than 99% of Americans.
I’m actually considering Thailand over Vietnam just because they get sunsets. So I’m even more considering that tropical destination Phuket. I think it’s the only major city on that coast.
If not that then perhaps Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur is another big city with many expats and a good vibe. And I’ll still have a west coast to watch sunsets on.
I’m not usually crazy about sunsets but I did watch one by myself last night and it was surreal
If someone tells me too many times of recent bad luck situations I just think to myself not to get to close cause respectfully I don’t want that s*** rubbing off on me ya feel me?

I do watch a lot of YouTube…you think I’m being sold a pipe dream?
