The stock market is the single worst financial institution ever invented. It hyperaccelerates economies leading to effects like inflation, wealth inequality, bubbles and marker crashes, etc. It's not necessary at all and the abolition of the stock market would be a huge boon for local small businesses. The stock market is tremendously precarious and almost guaranteed to undergo cycles of crashes that seem to get worse each cycle.

When a business goes public it becomes like a larvae searching for food and once it finds food (money) it devours everything in sight until there's no food left then repeats the process over and over until it becomes a monster that won't stop until we abolish the stock market
