So after the events of the last 4 days with my downstairs neighbor, I chose to start really playing hardball with the landlord.

1 email with extra details (mainly "I AM AWARE HES NOT ON THE LEASE") + me saying I'm ready to start talking about ending the lease early = an apparent letter given to them yesterday saying theyre being kicked out (idk half the terms but apparently they been late on rent 8 months???) - extra details include them smoking in the home with windows shut/our list of destroyed clothes cause it goes into the closet, s*** stained underwear in boxes in the shared laundry room for weeks, and I made a point to say I dont care what this guy says Im not f***ing rehoming my dog because he hates dogs, and then detailed the new thing/note where he says its my full responsibility to do the trash for the entire complex now (???)

SO. The one guy talking to me, at 9:30PM (this is the 11th time they've knocked past 9pm, and have been told to stop each time) - tells me the guy not on a lease is planning on messing with my power (this would be the third time now), and he's going to move into the shared storage basement/laundry room (???????)

I've been creeping on the steps all day and some loud weird noises are going on down there. My wife has laundry to do tomorrow lmao.

Should I go down and calmly confront while recording on my phone? Im thinking of waiting awhile, (jesus just now a massive slam happened), and fully catching him after...whatever this is

yesterday I also went down there and took videos of everything in its place at like 10pm as well as 3am when we got home from bars.

Im in this weird place where it feels too good to be true that this might end. But I honestly do just want to find a home to buy anyways and leave renting. Ten years now, it's too long, and Ive never had issues like this across so many places. I never pushed back too hard because theyre old as s*** and poor as s*** and the one guy is nice but does not understand boundaries but it gets super complex because of his relationship with the other guy (its so f***ing evil how the bad one has the ok guy wrapped around his finger, I can detail this if anyone wants)

debated on making a full thread but idk. is there any type of thread I can copy this into that might help?

im debating calling my dad up and saying I need to borrow a gun, but idek how legal a gun is in an apartment, and obv not to actually shoot these dudes are pussies even when I answer the door with this crazy demo tool but damn they got nothing to lose now
