Sometimes there's like a lack of power. Foot is down but not pulling like it should and downshifting

Technician says something is keeping the rpms from going over 4000 but it's not the trans.

I was on the freeway and tried to pass someone going mad slow in the right lane. I punched it and got in the left lane but the car wouldn't down shift to take off. Scared me s***less cause I had people flying behind me which is why I needed to punch it.

Now that the transmission is out of the question,, it's one of three things I can try. Either the ecu needs to be reset, the throttle body needs cleaning / replacement, or the throttle position sensor (my gas pedal) needs to be replaced

Even at low speeds, sometimes it feels as though the throttle ain't opening up enough to drive rpms up.

I had a oil leak fixed earlier this year and replaced my air filter with a k&n so that can also be why it's not preforming like it should with the new parts.

If your transmission fluid is all good, then it's most likely the ECU. Hopefully not, it's costly as a mf
