i have a physical disability and my whole life i just made fun of it and laughed when others made fun of it. so i dont fully resonate with the whole "ban spaz" movement because i feel like its just soft as s***
i would NEVER say some s*** to demean a person based on something they cant help, but these words like gay or spaz or whatever even the n word have a place on our lexicon that isnt coming from a place of hatred
@plants nick said something else after the cutting?
i mean he got a few more posts out before being banned yea
i dont rly understand why people are upset over american artists using the word in a completely different context
but the whole lets just see who can make the dumbest/most offensive post thing is lame
ig spaz is not cool to say anymore tho. i get it kinda but i feel like its like calling something gay or re tarded like its a different context. idk
yes i agree with your first statement, hence why i'm kinda confused about where the person is coming from and what the clarity of their aims are. i'm not spastic so me saying im offending only means so much because idk if I'm going to right an article about it. there're a lot of variations in english language use like f*g, for cigarette between uk and us, and at this point we don't have a wild whiplash against people using dumb, idiotic, stupid etc.
But it also could get where they are coming from because even if it's harmless in some sense to most (spaz meaning ima go crazy figuratively/verbally, idk if most people even think about the physical aspect) if you're also disabled and trying to improve conditions for yourself and disabled people at large, it might not help if everyone's treating it like a throwaway word. but, it's not being used negatively.
Like when people were like ahh man that's so gay. It might be innocuous but it was usually a pejorative. combined with the state of gay rights in the u.s. i get people having a gripe.
Some things also just don't cross borders like when Margaret Thatcher daughter called someone a golliwog. That wouldn't mean much to most of an american english speaking population but uk people know whatsup

yea over time the words meaning changes and i honestly don't know (because I haven't the spent time thinking, reading, or listening about it) how to address it besides discretion

same very concerning, especially cuz i saw my past self in some of his behavior so I know what its like to be so twisted up in your own head, and I wanna see him overcome this s*** and heal from it. mans not beyond help. not by a long shot
its why i put my discord handle back in my profile, maybe he reach out idk. i just know that being isolated in that situation ain't the most helpful thing
free the mans

Why do girls think they’re devious bc they like to be choked? I don’t think I’ve ever met one consenting girl who doesn’t like to be choked
I’m playing a dirty, dirty game.
I couldn't believe my eyes
