Right, in defense though, someone is supplying a platform which is getting hosted, updated, maintained etc. which costs money. After a while you could sell it to get some ROI. Is it bad? Not necessarily imo, but if the buying company is as bad as OP was stating and if that was known beforehand, it’s… unfortunate. I don’t know on what terms these decisions where made too though.

In the end, I’ve always thought about these things as- don’t hate the player, hate the game.
