Frank Ocean clone No. 8 has returned
Just wanna clarify that I don't think Choker is bad. I enjoy many of the other Frank clones like Orion Sun, Khamari, Dijon, and that small bit of Leon Thomas. Just gotta call a spade a spade. Not Frank's fault he got all these sons out here. He made a formula and it was easy to copy/follow

Like it’s something to say folks at the beginning of their careers wear their influences on their sleeve (e.g. like every one of them) but i think a good portion of artists (like most of them) learn to carve out an identity for themselves and become just their own thing.
Yeah i listen to crybaby and nico’s red truck and other songs from that era and yeah the frank-isms is there but ima also keep it a buck (and many frank fans might be offended but oh well):
frank ocean fans HIGHKEY the new prince fans the way yall niggas deify the F*** outta that nigga and unlike prince, frank dont really got the prolific discography to back up the many ways yall bring his name up in every other artist threads as a way to slight a nigga (e.g. like the way most prince fans do to other artists)

I agree, especially that last take. Frank had it tho… he just stopped putting music out. Not aging he would’ve been on Prince level but if he kept his foot on niggas necks and just kept dropping once he went indie maybe it could be justified
