Sremm4 was the only "new" album I listened too this year (my backlog is crazy/ion f*** with Uzi or Trab like that to subject myself to their work) and MANNN
It def had potential/Tanisha is a BOP but nigga they really called that s*** in
First week out by pap was supposed to start a new era for him but that and every album he's released since have been mid
I wanna clown, but I honestly do appreciate the willingness/hopefulness you had for a Lil Pump album. Very wholesome s***, don't change dog.
I know. I really really liked his early singles like d rose. So annoyed what he turned into

Oh s*** sr4m was soooo f***in ass
Ruined the only good song with a s*** bar. Thug was still good on it tho
Lil pump 2
All that promotion made me think it could be at least decent. I loved the SoundCloud loosies + that first tape. Naming it a sequel of the first got me ready. S*** was so bad, worst project of the year
Let's start here
Poland was gas, I loved that first boat project. Thought he could really pull off something unique. It just sounds like someone wanted to copy the tame Impala sound with worse vocals. Was not a fan at all outside of that Radiohead interpolation. Rather listen to king gizzard or any psychedelic band
Lil Pump 2 was a lowkey huge letdown
LP1 unironically bangs to this day. Sure it's not the best rap album ever but it really does excel at its own little niche more than anything else I've ever heard

Exactly. Lp1 isnt flockavelli, but it was a really solid and impressive/unexpectedly good project
I know it makes the most sense lp2 was going to be like harvErd dropout, but it was legitimately even worse with many of the bottom tracks I've heard this year

I think the reason it doesn't get brought up in this convo more is because despite how catastrophically Pump fell off on LP2, his actual peak of quality is just like, good, novel fun. I think LP2 showed me how much of a "lightning in a bottle" this guy really was. Lil Pump is straight up a byproduct of good timing and location.

I feel you but I genuinely feel like harvErd dropout was what fully made me realize it, but what was worse was realizing he signed to a label that was just abusing the f*** out of him and trying to make him basically kid friendly or whatever idk how to put it, like TikTok bait
Was sad af knowing how he finessed that one label initially

I mean he was always kid friendly, they just wanted to polish him up and try to make him a crossover star and it has failed miserably. Only way I could see his career going anywhere but downward in all respects would be if like Kanye stepped in and started putting Pump's ed energy over anything on the planet that had a f***ton of bass
Joint hit right off the first listen like Man Alive for me. Gave me a lot of 6 Feet Beneath the Moon vibes surprisingly.
I was on shrooms the first time I listened to it and was on straight up
mode the whole time it was sick
Lil Pump sounding like a coked up cyborg on Black Skinhead or something coulda been cool

I think I remember on HD he legit only referenced the d*** lean, nothing else. And only "lean" no words like codeine. I found that really weird when I always liked how he would reference d**** like Dilaudid and s***, really rubbed me wrong
I dunno he'll probably just turn into an OF guy or some s***

Need him to lock in with Ice Bream, JPEGMAFIA, and Ronny J to make the terminally online version of Flockaveli
majority of the mainstream releases were a disappointment
the underground once again making the best music
This is insane, literally his best verse of his career on this album
Meh, I don't like his music like that but Astro was better.

If you don't like his music, how did he disappoint?
hardrock album
i’ll tell you what though: that quavo album was way better than i expected
This. People seeping on that album but s*** was pretty damn good.
