    Goo

He wasn't influenced by Lil B the same way he was influenced by Andre lmao. He directly took flows and musical ideas from Andre.

No matter how many posts you're gonna make trying to refute The Love Below's worth, I 100% disagree as I actually see that album as oddly underrated and misunderstood by a lot of hip hop fans to begin with.

One of my fav albums OAT.

See you’re playing a lil trick where you go from talking about TLB to Andre in general

Andre is hugely influential and his best and most influential work comes from the Outkast

It was underrated at one point when niggas was calling it a prince impression but people over corrected and started hailing it as the crown jewel of rap lmfao

    We’ll disagree tho

Well the Andre songs that influenced Kendrick the most were on TLB.

Other Kast albums get more love btw so I don't really see your point

    Sir Swagalot

I hate to say this but the Beach House discography it feels like a “you had to be there to remember” kinda moment.

They remind me of Death Cab For Cutie, Interpol, and Deerhunter in the sense that they got a s*** ton of press and coverage and now they’re just moments and glimpses of the 2000s

nahh Teen Dream has aged so gracefully

The bands you mentioned were so tied to the zeitgeist of the time that their sound didn’t age well.

But fam, put on Zebra and try to tell me that doesn’t sound perfect to this day

this. after the VMAs and all slander, the lead up to the album was historic.

Beach House's melodies and songwriting are too good for them to suddenly be a reviled band. Master of None, Zebra, Lover of Mine, Myth, Sparks, Space Song, Dive, they've got classics on classics.

I can see old rap albums cancelled for misogynistic or homophobic lyrics

Kinda like how the youth today doesn't like Seinfeld, some of these 90s albums won't translate well

  • Oct 22, 2020

I can't see any OutKast album falling out of love

KTT users doing the most to say "Stankonia is overrated" but no one ever thinks it's bad

They were always ahead of the curve

Love Below is gonna get looked at as a cool lil album instead of the classic 3k stans say it is

You hear a lot of rappers influenced by Andre today: Smino, Goldlink, Noname, Jean Deaux, Saba, Raury, pretty much that whole scene and even people who transcend it like Frank, Isaiah and Mac Miller (RIP)

The Love Below changed the mindset on what a rapper should be, Andre is not the first rapper who sings but he touches so many different musical directions in that album, and this album is all about love, when it comes to themes I don't see it aging bad, the people still love Hey Ya! And as we know all the other tracks fire too so no it won't fall out of love

TPAB was never universally loved even though it’s Kendricks best. It will always been seen as that masterpiece not made for a casual listen
