If anything Id think thats the one that would hold up the best. Its the only Kanye album that has any significant musical ties to current music but still has all of the things that people like Kanye for and still sounds like a reasonably “adult” album(probably not the right word but whatever). After that is when we get to the trump stuff and into his most recent music which is a weird crosd between gospel and “hello fellow kids” territory.

nah people are already saying it was kanyes worst album even when it first came out. and him making mid to outright terrible music ever since and him announcing his support for trump on the tour most people are (if not already) gonna recognize that album as the beginning of the end for kanye

I'll be honest, they're one of the only bands I've checked out in the genre. I also listened to Slowdive repeatedly and their music hasn't connected with me either, if you'd count them as dream pop.

Mannnn Slowdive is great. I’d honestly checkout Cocteau Twins and Mazzy Star for a more direct approach to the genre. If you don’t like those groups then maybe it isn’t for you lol.

jay electronica was all flash no substance back at his mysterious peak. over time people will realize that he spent the last 8 years learning how to make really good music and a written testimony is proof

MBDTF was great but I think the experience made it even more special.
First of all him proving people wrong making a damn near perfect album after polarizing responses with 808s. Then Good Friday’s

Then VMAs and all of the art extra s*** just took it to a different level.

    Yeah the rollout definitely helped.

I love Jay but Testimony proved he couldn’t match the hype. He needs to drop much more high-quality material in the 2020’s to stamp his legacy.

To add onto this ok computer was much like mbdtf and is an album where you really had to be there to fully get it.

I for one am too young and can't really get into it

Weird I prefer amnesiac to it

the majority of r/Kanye and r/WestSubEver are generation z. most of the twitter kanye stans I've seen are very young. a large amount of ye sxn has always been on the younger side. I am generation z and almost every peer I talk to knows Kanye West and has heard his music.

your anecdote is in the minority.

    Good to hear

I own a business that in tutoring high school and college students and I generally fear for their music habits
